Vogue Collectors Edition

Sorry for herrasing you peeps with another Vogue article! Last wednesday i went to The Hague, to buy the collectors edition from the first dutch Vogue. This special edition was only available that day at De Bijenkorf and thursday throughout the whole country. 

I love the fact that the magazine is packed in a special box (white with in black vogue on it), wich makes it's easy to keep it magazine neat :). On the cover are the Dutch models Romee Strijd, Ymre Stiekema and Josefien Rodermans. The styling of the trio is done by Marije Goedkoop and Marc de Groot made ​​the picture.

The first Vogue ever appeared in the United States in 1892. But what makes the launch of the dutch Vogue extra special, is that it's the 120-year anniversary of the (original) legandary fashion magazine.

Before it's in fashion, it's in..Vogue (Netherlands)

It's almost there! After long speculation, Vogue Netherlands will be reality. On March 21 there is an exclusive pre-sale at all stores of De Bijenkorf. You can buy the collector's edition there for €5.95 in a luxurious package. On March 22nd Vogue will be for sale in all stores. The chosen editor in chief is glamour's Karin Swerink.

Karin: “It's a great honor to make this iconic magazine. Vogue is fabulous, progressive and unique in it's kind. I'm collecting a great team around me, the cream of the crop from all the talent that there is around the world. The magazine will be a source of inspiration, national and international. Vogue Netherlands is an unique addition to the Vogue family.”

Also, in order to promote the magazine and create butterflies in the belly of many fashion lovers, the display windows from departmentstore de bijenkorf are Vogue Netherlands themed. Each display window is decorated with to most prettiest pieces of clothing and accesories for spring 2012. Wich includes specially designed dresses for Vogue by Claes Iversen and G-Star. Watch the video below to see the display windows.

H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection 2012

H&M is launching it's fifth Fashion Against Aids (FAA) Collection to raise funds and create awareness about HIV/AIDS among the young genaration. This year’s FAA collection puts global tribes in a 21st century context and is inspired by ethnic influences from different continents. The collection will be available in stores and online. 25% of all sales will go directly to a variety of international youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. So far, H&M has raised around 45 million SEK from previous FAA projects.

I'm totally in love with the ethnic/graphic prints and the festival inspired clothes. They're always a bit different and special, really gives me a summer vibe. The collection will also include fashion accesories as, hats, plasters and iPhone cases and will be available in around 300 H&M Divided departments from 26th of April.

Alone together

So the other day I discovered this gorgeous song from Daley, Alone Together a duet with fellow UK soul singer Marsha Ambrosius from his 2011 mixtape Those Who Wait. I'm totally intrigued by this song and the beautiful video. Daley is finalizing his upcoming debut album, and the first single is slated to be released in March. Up to now Daley is especially known for his collaboration with the Gorrilaz, I've got the feeling that's gonna change very soon!
